Toolbox Update For Wednesday, May 08, 2002
I wish I was sending this update with some Script Sentry bug fix news or a new review, but, unfortunately, I’m updating with some bad news. Sometime yesterday, a hacker from Turkey exploited a vulnerability in the Snitz forum scripts. He deleted all of the forums and posts and changed the forum look and feel to red text on black.
Since the forum passwords might have been compromised, I’ve changed all of the forum passwords. If you have a Toolbox user account, you’ll have to get the temp password I set up e-mailed to you.
NOTE: If you put a “Nospam” or something in your Toolbox e-mail address listing, this won’t work. If that’s the case, e-mail me and I’ll send you your password.

Hi Jason,
First off, sorry to bring up a topic from 2002 … from the “Search Posts” box on your page, it was the most recent entry I could find that referenced the archived program “Cookie Jar”.
Just curious if you had any plans to create something comparable for Firefox. While I love Firefox and its extensions, and its cookie management tools are better than IE’s default, neither the built-in Firefox cookie management nor the add-ons that I’ve found live up to the simple ease-of-use found in your Cookie Jar program for IE.
If you have no plans for porting this, could you recommend a Firefox add-on? I currently use CookieCuller, which works sort of similar (although it lacks an “undecided” category), but it’s not nearly as well layed out as your Cookie Jar program.
Thanks in advance for any info you may provide!
- Barek.

Sorry, but I have no plans to update Cookie Jar for Firefox. I just checked the FireFox extensions page and View Cookies CS ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3587 ) sounds interesting. I haven’t tried it, though, so I can’t vouch for how good it is.
